ReplyDeleteAfter watching these videos, it is apparent that there are some unusual people in this world. Luckily, the Halloween Parade in the West Village allows them to express their opinions and views on the media and practically anything. Whether it be the Thriller dance or people dressing up as the characters from Star Wars, it seems as though this parade allows them to enjoy themselves in a way that may not be appropriate for an ordinary day. As long as no one is causing harm to others, their behavior should be acceptable for the Halloween Parade and this event adds excitement to New York City.

DeleteRegarding the second video, it was funny how "skeletons" were roaming around and it added creativity to the parade. The Ghost Busters and the Suicide Jumper improv was successful in fooling people and everyone went along with it. The Coney Island Beach was entertaning as well as all the other videos.
the halloween parade just looks like a really good time and baiscally everyone being whoever they want to be and dance around and not be judged. the star wars improv was hysterical i would have loved to been on that train and see all of it happening. the same to all of the improv everywhere it is so original and you wouldnt see it anywhere else but Manhattan. the street wars honestly sounds like so much fun and im sure is very interesting for everyone involoved and anyone surrounded by it.
ReplyDeletethe ghost busters was so funny becasue there were the people dressed as ghosts and then the "ghostbusters" came in with the music playing in the background.Coney island beach was hysterical and a little weird becasue the poeple were going to the beach in formal wear and everyone around them were looking at them like they were crazy becasue they were going in the water and playing in the sand in gown and tuxedos. the best buy uniforms was so original becasue the people in best buy had no idea what was going on and thought it was a conspiracy of people stealing or something. when they called the cops and were trying to get them arrested when the cops said there was no point for them being there. it was hysterical becasue they didnt know how to react. the suicide jumper was funny becasue it wasnt real if it was that would be scary. the human mirror was funny because they had no idea what was going on and all of the people were like twins and just doing the exact same thing around them. the instant date was so nice if i was sitting in the park and someone did that for me i would be so happy. it was so sweet and the couple just sat there smiling.
DeleteThe halloween parade was pretty cool looking, it's neat how everyone can just come together like that. They definately went all out for their costumes! The starwar's reinactment on the train made me laugh, that was great, so was the ghost busters. The black tie beach thing was weird, but at least these people can have fun without worrying about what others think about them and put smiles on peoples faces. The best i've seen was breakdancing on the train, i'd love to see some of this in real life. The best buy uniform prank was creative, i wonder who comes up with this. I would definately want to do one of these one day with the improv anywhere people. The suicide jumper hahahaha. When i first saw this assignment i told myself i wasn't going to watch all of these, but i guess i am. In the instant date video the peoples reactions were not great, if that was me i would be hysterical laughing and extremely red in the face. Street water gun wars seems pretty cool also, i didn't realize the city had so many interesting people and things that they do.
ReplyDeleteThe Halloween parade is a fun and unique experience that anyone can enjoy. The improv everywhere people are hysterical to watch and extremely creative. their pranks are funny without bothering anyone at the same time. (except for the workers at Best Buy) The water gun street war sounds like a great time but I would start to get paranoid after a while if I knew that someone was looking for me and could be waiting outside of my house or job. These videos show us that there is so much to do in the city and how great the people in this city are.

The water gun war sounds like it would be really fun in the summer time. I believe that all of the other videos also seemed fun and would be something that could entertain me.
ReplyDeleteThis is one of the reason why New York City is the best. Anything can happen and the Halloween parade is an excellent way to bring people together and let them have a good time without being judged because all those in costume all look crazy in their own way and it doesn't matter. It's all about fun for them and they have it. The water gun wars looks like a lot of fun but you got to be on your toes and be ready at all times. All of this stuff happens in New York and there are so many different people and things to do its crazy.
ReplyDeleteThe Halloween Parade is something different and unique that man can enjoy. It's a perfect representation of New York, which offers a lot as well. The Star Wars skit was pretty creative, I've seen better. But it was creative. The Ghostbusters improv skits were pretty funny as well, good use of scenery for a skit. It's good when the people can also find humor in it.
ReplyDeleteAfter going through a few of them - I think a simple statement can summarize my feelings towards Improve Everywhere. They're really good and they are committed, which is even better. There are a few other's I think you should check out who do things from Prank's to simple "on the street" stuff in the city.

ReplyDeleteThe halloween parade was really different i had no idea that they had something like that in the city but this just shows had diverse and crazy New York can really be. The water gun wars was pretty sick too, i think its a really good idea but seems like it can be kinda stressful if your one of the last people standing! You will probably have a hard time finding events like these in other parts of the world and that is just whats so special about NYC.

The train scene with starwars was amazing and funny.
Ghost busters scene was also funny and shocking.
The part with Coney Island Beach was weird and funny.
The best buy uniform was funny and it made everyone confused.

I think the halloween parade thriller dance and skeletons on the sticks was very creative. It looks like a fun parade to go to in manhattan.

Ghost busters was very funny because it was in a very public pace and included a lot of people.
The coney island beach was hilarious because of how many people were involved, it also was the third time they've done that. I thought the woman running in the black dress was funny.
The best buy uniforms was very funny because the people were kicked out, and the cops were called (who couldnt do anything).
The suicide jumper was very funny because he was only about 5 feet above ground. But this is new york so people stopped to watch.
The twin prank on the train was also very funny because it got peoples attention very quickly. It was well organized.
The instant date prank was pretty funny, the musicians were hilarious as the couple had no clue what was going on.
The StreetWars thing is something i would love to do in the summer if i could. It is a great idea and its funny how people can be following you in disguise all around the city.
These videos were hysterical. The Halloween Parades one and two were interesting and entertaining. The dancing sekeltons were very creative. I really enjoyed the star wars video. The reactions they got were hysterical. Ghost Busters was one of my favorites! It was so funny watching them walk into the library!I love how the best buy workers called cops but the cops couldnt arrest the people for their clothing. The video with the suicide jumper was so funny! He was about two feet from the ground and they created this huge scene! In the human mirror video i realized that the two blonde girls were wearing two different types of black flats. I just noticed and it stuck in my head that they werent completely matching. The girls face on the intsant date was so funny, she didnt know what was happening. These people look like they always have a blast doing this! The watergun fight is definately something i'd like to participate in. Each task seems so much fun,and this is something I would want to do when im a little older.

Star Wars was by far the funniest one especially looking at people's reactions.
Ghost Busters was hilarious, it just shows me how much some people have absolutely no life.

Best Buy Uniform was just a classic, I would've never thought someone would think of that.
Suicide Jumper I wasn't expecting that to happen, he was only 3feet off the ground, but it was funny, those actors kept their composure perfectly.
Human Mirror was also funny but they acted it out perfectly.
Instant Date was executed well but it was just weird because of what they did.
Street water fight was like reading about a video game which makes me want to play one day.
The halloween videos were funny and great it gave a good representation of the parade which is that it's silly and fun and a good time. The star wars video was hysterical and everyone on the train seemed to really enjoy it. The ghost busters video was also really funny, everybody in the library seemed to pick up on it right away and get that it was ghostbusters. Black tie beach was great, even the beach sanitation workers were taking pictures and everyone was laughing, and the people in black tie seemed to be enjoying themselves a lot too. The best buy prank was funny but obviously the actual best buy workers didn't like it. It was really funny when the cop said he couldnt tell them to leave just because they're wearing clothes similar to the best buy uniform. The suicide jumper was the best it was so dramatic. The human mirror was funny because they mimicked each other down to the slightest movement. Instant date was funny because the couple seemed so confused. The water gun fight looks like so much fun i would totally do that if i had the chance.
ReplyDeleteThe Halloween Village Parade was as usual awesome. I have actually been in the parade so its always exciting to see the weird people there. The improveverywhere videos were priceless, they were funny and if i do get a chance i totally would participate in them, I told my friend about doing it with me sometime and he totally agreed. ReplyDeleteThe Halloween videos show the rich culture of Manhattan especially the Village. The Star wars video really made me laugh because of all the people's reactions to Darth Vader. The ghost buster video was really funny because of the fact in was in a library. The people dressed up in suits and dresses jumping in the ocean was extremely funny because nobody knew how to react. The Best buy video was hilarious because the best buy workers were obviously upset. The suicide jumper video made me cringe. The instant date was funny because I could only picture what I would do in that situation. The Human Mirror was great and would love to do that. The water gun fight video was my favorite and I would also love to do that.

ReplyDeleteHalloween 1- LOVE THE THRILLER! great to see everyone in different costumes comming together for the same reason. This gives people in NYC a reason to do something fun. Iv never heard of the parade before and it looks lots of fun. flasher....LOL
Halloween 2- Cool skeleons dressed up differently. Some look dressed to vbe in the culture of the carrier, while others are just brought out for the fun of gathering.
Star Wars-They had a whole role play and speeches set up! SO funny to see everyones faces. Most people caught on and started videoing it, thats what i would have done haha. Upset no one tried to save princess leya though!
Ghost Busters- im suprised no one got arrested for disturbing the peace, since the library is a public silent place. Super funny though. Especially when the four guys come out and chase him. SO RANDOM!
Coney Island Beach- my favoprite part is the two old guys sitting on the beach. They turn and just look so confused. Theys till to this day probably do not know what was going on haha. Im not sure i would participate in this one though, may get to hot to be in a dress like that on a beach!
Best Buy Uniforms- Favorite one yet!! HYSTERICAL. The manager is like 'call 911..' althugh im not sure anyone can be arrested for this... FAVORITE was when they go 'theres 100 downstairs.' hahaha has me hysterical.
Suicide Jumper- i dont like this one because i dont think suicide is something to joke about, although it is quite funny. Its just that some people have done this before, and its a very sad serious thing.
Human Mirror- my reaction would have been same as lady at 00:45 LOL she looks back and fourth and then is just like HUHHHH? i would rathar be participating than watching because i would totally freak out if i was watching this!

Halloween 1- It was so cool to see how everybody gets together to do the dance just to celebrate the parade. It was also cool to see how everybody was really into the dance and even their costumes.
ReplyDeleteHalloween 2- I never imagined that so many people went to the parade from the video it seems like no one else fits on the sidewalk or street. It was also very interesting to see the things they created for the parade such as the skeletons.
Star Wars- It was so funny to see the peoples reactons when they first saw them dressed up, it took people a few seconds and then they started laughing. It was cool to see that everybody on the train knows that things like these happen in NYC so they knew it was a joke and didnt get in between what they were doing.
Ghost Busters- At first you can tell people were a little weired out when there were only one ghost and then a few more, but then once they saw the "ghost busters" come in they started laughing.
Coney Island- This video was so funny because the people doing it were so into it and while they were at the beach they looked serious which made it even weirder for the people around them. It so funny to see the peoples confused faces.It was nice to see the guy at the end say they made everybody happy because they made them laugh.
Best Buy- This video was one of the funniest ones because everybody that actually worked there was getting so mad. Its funny becaus they pulled it off and people were confused. I dont think i would have been so mad if i worked their i would have laughed cause it was a good idea.
Suicide Jumper- This video was the first one i saw so i didnt think it was a joke at first and then it was funny when i realized they were like 3 feet from the floor. In this video the people didnt seem to laugh as much in the others they all have serious faces, except for in the end when they all start clapping.
Human Mirror-It was so cool to see how good they people did it they copied every time they moved exactly. It was funny to see the peoples reactions most of them realized it was a joke and started laughing.
Instant Date- This video was so funny because of they people they tried it on , the couple didnt even ask any questions once they just accepted all the things they gave them.THis would be really interesting to see in person.
I think you made us watch this video because you wanted us to realize how diverse and exciting New York City is. Since we are taking a History of New York class you wanted us to see all different exciting cultural aspects of New York. After watching these videos we are reminded how crazy and awesome the people of new york are. Keep in mind that these are only a few of the 365 crazy days that take place in the awesome place of Ney Work City.
